How wonderful would it be for everyone to feel safe and be accepted in their family, their community and their country all across the world?harmony-day-1
Could you ever imagine it?

“Imagine all the people living life in peace” John Lennon, Imagine

Living in peace and harmony requires that we feel accepted and that we are able to accept others. People feel more comfortable when everyone is the same. When there are differences between people it can lead to judgment and that could result in being rejected and abandoned by the tribe, family or community and consequentially threaten survival. How would I survive outside the tribe? Survival fear is deeply instinctual and will cause a visceral reaction in the body, driving us to defend and protect ourselves.

To be able to live in our modern world of cultural diversity we will all benefit from more open-ness and acceptance of others. When we realize that not only is every culture unique and individual, plus each individual in that culture is unique and special in his or her own right. Lets celebrate our differences rather then fear them. When we are able to love and accept ourselves we find a stronger sense of safety and security because we trust and value ourselves. That makes us less dependent on and influenced by the judgment of others. We are then much more self reliant and self centred as opposed to being other centred.

By loving and accepting ourselves then we are able to love and accept others. Lets celebrate individuality and our uniqueness on Harmony day.
